Rulings Q&A — 7 entries

Q1 Q4651
Can I choose to not digivolve with this card's 1st effect?
Show ruling
No, you can't. For this card's 1st effect, you declare a digivolution, then upon revealing this card, you can also choose a Tamer as the card to digivolve, and that Tamer is also treated as a level 3 Digimon. As with the normal digivolution procedure, after revealing this card and declaring a digivolution, you can't choose to not digivolve. In addition, you can't declare digivolution into this card in the first place unless there is a card on the field that you can digivolve.

Q2 Q6536
If an effect digivolves onto a Tamer as if it is a Digimon, do I treat the Tamer that becomes a digivolution card as if it is a Digimon when digivolving?
Show ruling
Yes, treat the Tamer as if it is a Digimon when digivolving. "When digivolving" effects and "when a Digimon digivolves" effects are triggered.Additionally, if a "Digimon can't digivolve" effect has activated, you cannot digivolve a Tamer as if it is a Digimon with this effect.

Q4 Q6538
If this card digivolves from a Tamer that was played this turn, can it attack this turn?
Show ruling
No, it can't. A card cannot attack on the turn it is played, even if it digivolves from a card placed on the field. It can only attack if it was not played that turn.
