Chapter 13
Security Checks
13-1Security Checks
13-1-1A security check is a rule that allows a player to perform a check on the opponent's security stack.
13-1-2Only 1 security check can be performed during a single attack. However, if the number of cards that can be checked is modified by an effect on the attacking Digimon, the modified number of cards will be checked in a single security check.
13-1-3A security check is performed one card at a time.
13-1-4If a security check is to be performed, it is mandatory.
13-1-5If the Digimon performing the security check is removed from the battle area, that card can't perform any more security checks.
13-1-6A checked card is removed from the security stack and is treated as not being in any particular area.
13-1-7A checked Digimon card is treated as a Security Digimon.
13-1-8A security check is performed using the following procedure.
13-1-8-1Security Checks
13-1-8-1-1The top security card is revealed. If the card was already revealed, it remains revealed.
13-1-8-2Processing for effects triggered upon a security check
13-1-8-2-1If an effect is triggered by a security check, that effect is to be resolved. The next action won't begin until all of the processing is resolved for the current action.
13-1-8-3Processing Battles against Security Digimon
13-1-8-3-1A battle will occur between the Security Digimon and the Digimon that performed the security check. The next action won't begin until all of the processing is resolved for the current action. (For details, refer to 14 "Battles")
13-1-8-3-2If a Security Digimon isn't present, proceed to the next step.
13-1-8-4A card revealed from a security check is placed in the trash unless it belongs to an area.
13-1-8-5If the card performing the security check can perform another security check, it will then perform that security check.
